How to import a task from a Windows Backup image
Date Added: 11/4/2016

If you have previously done a Windows Server Backup to an image, you can restore the Scheduled Tasks from that image.

1) mount the backup image and make sure it has a drive letter
2) Open Task Scheduler
3) choose Import
4) Browse to z:\Windows\System32\Tasks\
5) Change the dropdown to show All Files (since the files here have no file extension but are actually XML files)
6) Select the file you want to import
7) Import it
8) Unmount the backup image

Now the current server will have the same Scheduled Task as the one you restored from backup.
