Hidden Recovery drive is showing up in This PC
Date Added: 1/4/2018

I noticed a new drive showing up in This PC named Recovery, and it was assigned a drive letter, F. This is supposed to be hidden by Windows since it's a special Windows partition. It does not show up in the Disk Management GUI tool. I noticed that the partition was marked Hidden in the command line tool DiskPart, but somehow, it was still showing up. To fix this, I used DiskPart to remove the drive letter from the partition, and it immediately disappeared from This PC.

From a command prompt:

diskpart
list disk
select Disk 0 (or whatever disk holds that partition)
list partition
select partition 1 (the one corresponding with the hidden drive)
remove (Note that this only removes the drive letter. It does not remove the actual partition.)
